New Group COO appointed at BDR Thermea

BDR Thermea has appointed Jan van Ooijen (1959) as Group Chief Operating Officer of BDR Thermea. Jan joins the Group from Tyco International, where he held various senior management positions since 1989. Initially working for Tyco's fire protection division, he was appointed President for Tyco Flow Control Asia in 2005 and then served as President for Tyco Water Works EMEA since 2007.
Jan, who is married and has two children, graduated in International Affairs at (Dutch) Twente University in 1987.

BDR Thermea acquires majority interest in Baymak

BDR Thermea Group is pleased to announce that its daughter company Baxi Holding will acquire the majority interest in Baymak Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. Since 2002 Baymak operated as a Joint Venture between Baxi Holding and Dr. Murat Akdogan.
BDR Thermea and Viessmann increase their share in Microgen Engine Corporation

BDR Thermea Group BV and Viessmann Holding International GmbH have each increased their share in the capital of Microgen Engine Corporation Holding BV (MEC) to 42.19%. The remaining shares are held by other existing shareholders related to the heating industry. This transaction has been approved by the appropriate regulatory authorities.

The Mostra Convegno Expocomfort exhibition was held in Milan from 23 to 27 March 2010 and is the world’s most visited event in the HVAC. This essential event for the major brands of BDR Thermea, including De Dietrich Remeha and Baxi, was an opportunity not only to present their products but also to reach out to their distributors and customers. A parallel presence enabled each to assert its identity.
BDR Thermea approved by European Commission

De Dietrich Remeha Group and Baxi Group announce the creation of BDR Thermea, a new world class company in innovative climate and hot water solutions and services. Following the receipt of all necessary EU competition approvals, the transaction initially announced in July 2009 has been completed. The new group will be called BDR Thermea, recognizing the contribution both groups bring to the combination.
